Describe the world with WikiMapia

Found a quality new web 2.0 site via StumbleUpon...

It's called WikiMapia and is a cross between Wikipedia and Google Earth!

Basically, it uses Google's satellite images of the earth which can be zoomed in to fine detail (even cars are visible in most cities and towns), and lets users describe an area on that map. In this way it is hoped that the website will "describe the whole world" - areas, towns, buildings, parks, shopping centres, football stadiums, schools etc. are all described.

I think this site's great and reckon it will really take off.
